So far i like everything I've ate here but there is a lot more i still need to try. The food is made quick, reasonably priced, and tastes really good. The salsa bar is a nice touch. The best Mexican fast food around.

Great food. I have eaten there only twice but the meal was great each time.

The good: It definitely has the Mexican food and look to it, instead of the restaurants that claim to be Mexican but lean more to New Mexican (huge difference between the two). Daily specials that are cheap. The bad: they have a poster of different burritos they have hiding behind the salsa bar, if it were in sight i would have ordered something different because there is no explanations on the menu of what the different items include. It's pricy for what you get, including quality. The ugly: there were so many flies everywhere, dead and alive! It's so cluttered that it doesn't feel or look welcoming or clean. I would not recommend or go out of my way for it again, however if it were my only option for food i would not be completely put off on the idea of eating there, sort of a last resort kind of place.

When the store first opened it was very good, a definite competition to Fediricoes right down the road. But... over the past few months, the quality of the food has rocketed downhill. I went in about 2 months ago at around 5PM and ordered a fish burrito, my usual. Of course I went through the drive-thru and when I took my first bite I go a mouth full of rice, lettuce, and fish. Instead of a fish burrito, I got mixed burrito that resembled NOTHING on the actual menu. So... I didn't go back for about a month thinking they may have hired a new cook and I needed to give them time to adjust. I go back to the drive-thru at around dinner time again, and they tell me the fish isn't ready... it wasn't prepared. WHAT? It is dinner time and you don't have the fish prepared? When where you going to do it, after closing?!?!? So... I go by yesterday and ordered my wife a Shrimp Quesadilla... one of her favorites. Now, let me start by saying a shrimp quesadilla costs like $8.. so you are expecting it to be GOOD right? Wrong. The quesadilla itself was fine I guess... a little undercooked and the cheese was low-quality... but whatever. You order it for the shrimp and the flavoring of that. Well, when we opened the quesadilla up to put in some guacamole and sour cream, we found what could only e described as midget shrimps. To call them small would be an insult to small shrimp. I think these were the poops from the normal size shrimp, and then the cook may have even cut them in half after that!!! And to top it all off... we counted about 10 of these midget shrimps in the whole quesadilla!!!! For $8, I want some normal sized shrimp, filleted in half and spread out throughout the quesadilla... not a childs handfull of dime-sized shrimps. I don't know what happened that has made them go downhill the past few months, but I am done with them. The prices are rising there, the quality of the food is getting lower and lower, and the management running it is either blind, or the problem.

Whenever I'm in the mood for carne Asada, this is the place I visit. They are quick, yummy and reasonable. They also give a military discount.

Food is pretty flavorless and basic. This might fly somewhere else but in New Mexico, where there is a wealth of quality Mexican restaurants, this place is really only good for late night drunk dining.

It's hard to find Mexican food in Albuquerque (Mexican NOT New Mexican)! This place does it right! Best (and possibly the only place I've found so far) Langua tacos in Albuquerque! Breakfast burritos as big as a toddler's head! Chorizo con eggs is grease dripping delicious! It's like I'm sitting at my friend's house growing up and his mom is cooking in the back. They are literally a Mom & Pop place cooking family recipes and living the American dream! Support them and enjoy a great low cost Mexican meal and have a sip of the crazy good horchata! ;) Life is south of the border good, while living north of the border!

Thought this place was great. Food was tasty, free chips and salsa. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly. I will definitely return when in the area.

Still consistent even after all these years (and I mean what I experienced when living in Phoenix back in '98). If you want the real enchilada this is the place. If you don't like it then it's not Filliberto's, it's the fact you don't like real Sonoran-style Mexican food. The lengua tacos are excellent as well as the Carne Asada. 'Real' chorizo with eggs, spicy and a mess to eat if you never had it like at home. Don't forget to wash it down with the Tamarindo, Jamaica or a Horchata! Help yourself to the salsa bar with three types of salsas, fresh jalapenos, pickled mexi-mix and chips.

Super delicious! The numbered plate options are very generously portioned. The tortilla was so tasty. Normally when I eat burritos I toss the leftover tortilla. Not in this case, the tortilla was so good I kept eating. I highly recommend eating here. I wish I lived nearby so I could go back again. Fast, reasonably priced, and friendly.

This place is soooo good, authentic, and inexpensive. I had the 5 mini-tacos yesterday and tonight had a machaca burrito. Both excellent. I can't wait to try something new tomorrow before I have to leave for home.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
